everything
Millions of people out there have blogs. now i'm one of them.
I read a lot of internet articles, Wikipedia entries, and some blogs, and i find a lot of interesting music through mp3 blogs. I often don't have time to finish reading the articles or downloading the music, so i thought i might create a blog as a public repository for these things, so i'd be able to go back to them easily, and so i could also share this information with others. I'm sure some of it will be pretty well known by the time i post links, but some of it will be obscure, interesting, and/or useful. Hopefully a lot of it will be.
Here's the first entry, containing links to things from yesterday and today:
NASA/mars http://www.reuters.com/article/newsOne/idUSN3136620220080805
the next few are particularly joyous:
potential bank failure
http://www.reuters.com/article/newsOne/idUSN0344130720080803
FBI anthrax investigation
http://www.salon.com/opinion/greenwald/2008/08/05/anthrax/
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/anthrax_investigation
Chinese olympics rules for visitors
http://www.reuters.com/article/oddlyEnoughNews/idUSKUA16177220080801
Here's a good one if you're into WWE, ultimate fighting, or MMA

field hockey contact lenses aid sight in beijing smog

I bought some mint at the farmers' market on sunday and made some delicious mint/blueberry tea. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mentha
I was researching various blog hosting/creation websites when i found this movie. It looks pretty interesting and fun. Those kids have put together some kickass sound systems. http://www.madeinqueensfilm.com/
Someone I barely know may have a kidney stone. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kidney_stone
I also found out about the band Corntooth today while looking at various blogs. They're a group comprised of members of various Virginia hardcore punk and metal bands, such as Lamb of God and Avail, who play great country and bluegrass tunes together. Here's some links i found related to them, including some of their songs posted on a message board.
gorillas: http://news.yahoo.com/s/livescience/20080805/sc_livescience/surprisingnumberoflowlandgorillasdiscoveredinafrica
This is where i found the link to the bike movie. There's also an excerpt from a 1995 interview in WIRED with Brian Eno. http://wanderlustmind.com/
I've never been to Chick Fil-A, but a name like that seems at least slightly suspect to me. I guess i shouldn't prejudge so easily: http://health.yahoo.com/experts/eatthis/11230/americas-bestand-worstrestaurants/
Have you ever played this game? You aren't the only one. Actually, i used to play Bust-a-Move, but it's basically the same thing.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Snood_%28video_game%29
that's it. maybe i'll add things later.
